The Medical College of Georgia shall provide printing, photo copy services, and other related business services for the conduct of Institution business through the Printing and Copying Services Department. These services will also be offered to students, faculty, and staff in accordance with Institution procedures.
Printing and copying of materials funded by an Institution account must be coordinated through the Printing and Copying Services Department. All campus printing and copying jobs must be submitted to Printing and Copying Services for an initial quotation. In the event that Printing and Copying Services cannot perform the work requested due to equipment or deadline limitations, a waiver will be authorized and assistance given to locate an off-campus vendor.
Printing and Copying Services is located at Annex II HT1200, with a Satellite Copying Service located in the R & E Building, CB2940. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Printing Services: Specific capabilities include design, typesetting, printing, numbering, cutting, laminating, drilling, shrink wrapping, padding, perfect and GBC binding, stitching, collating, and folding.
Copying Services: Specific capabilities include black and white copies; color copies; book binding; collating; stapling; mugs; mouse pads; bags; heart-shaped, round and oval pendants; ornaments; key chains; magnets; plaques; and cutting boards.
Budget Unit: For desired printing, prepare a Printing and Copying Services Job Request Form (Attachment A). The Job Request Form may be obtained through the Printing and Copying Services Department or from the GHSU forms repository (see form PS931 revised 01/07).
Forward the Job Request Form to Printing and Copying Services with a sample attached. One Job Request Form should be used for each printing job. A departmental copy of the Job Request Form will be returned to your department upon delivery of your job.
For departments wishing to submit jobs electronically, email all correspondence to or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Job Processing: The steps for processing a Printing and Copying Services job follow:
- Receive the Printing and Copying Services Job Request and complete the pricing section.
- Assign a job number, schedule work and record completion date.
- Complete work and deliver to the user on or before the scheduled completion date.
- Obtain signature on the Printing and Copying Services Job.
The responsibilities each party has in connection with the Printing and Copying Services Policy, are:
|Vice President for Administration||Responsible for providing high quality administrative, logistical and operational services to facilitate the teaching, research and health care missions of the Medical College of Georgia.|
|Director, Auxiliary Services||Responsible for the management and oversight of the institution’s retail activities.|
|All Medical College of Georgia faculty, employees, and students||Responsible for adhering to the Administrative Policies of the Medical College of Georgia|
